The University of Deusto was inaugurated in 1886. Bilbao, a seaport and commercial city which was undergoing considerable industrial growth during that era, was chosen as the ideal location. The University is located on two campuses, in the two coastal capitals of the Basque Country: Bilbao and San Sebastian.

Deusto Business School has over 75 fulltime faculties and alumni base of over 15,000 students. The business school has over 110 international collaboration agreements with international business schools and universities. The business school also has membership in prominent educational associations such as Association of Schools of Business Administration in Spain(AEEDE), European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), and International Association of Jesuit Business Schools.

Internationalization, without excluding other regions, demonstrates a clear commitment to Europe and Latin America, having signed agreements with more than 200 universities.
